The Story

This clean 1963 Stratocaster has just emerged from an estate after decades of neglect! It's a fine player on original and unworn frets. As if being clean wasn't enough, it even has its original hang tag and strap.

Year: 1963. Neck heel ink stamp "2NOV63B" (2 = Stratocaster model, NOV = November, 63 = 1963, and B = standard neck width 1 5/8"), potentiometer codes "137 6346" (137 = CTS, 63 = 1963, 46 = 46th week), serial number "L15877".

Measurements: 8 lbs / 3.65 kg total weight. The neck measures 1.65" / 42 mm wide at the nut, 0.82" deep at the first fret, and .99" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup measures 5.87k ohms, the middle reads 6.34k ohms, and the bridge pickup reads 5.98k ohms.

Originality: All finish, solder, and parts are original to this guitar except for a few screws in the back plate.

Condition: Excellent! This is a very fine example with light finish checking and various nicks and dings on the back. The pickguard shows typical shrinkage and a crack next to the neck pickup mounting screw.

Playability: Excellent! This Strat plays exactly as the manufacturer intended it with a straight neck, proper working truss rod, no fret wear, and proper working electronics.

Included: The original leather strap, hang tag with matching serial number, white tolex case, and some old Fender string packs are included.

Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period on all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from refunds in the case of a return.
